Job description

As an IT Systems Administrator, you will be an essential part of the IT operations, responsible for maintaining and optimizing their diverse technical environment. From overseeing Windows Servers to managing Active Directory across multiple forests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of  systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain our vmWare environment to ensure optimal performance and stability.
  • Administer Windows Servers, ranging from Windows 2003 to Windows 2022, with a keen eye on system health and efficiency.
  • Provide support for Windows Clients, spanning from Windows 7 to Windows 2022, ensuring seamless user experiences.
  • Handle NAS and SAN systems, enabling efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Maintain Active Directory across multiple forests, streamlining user management and authentication processes.
  • Oversee network components including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls (Watchguard), ensuring network security and reliability.
  • Manage a diverse range of Wi-Fi systems from various brands, guaranteeing reliable wireless connectivity.
  • Implement and enforce Group Policies to enhance system security and user access control.

 


Profile
  • You have a Bachelor's degree in IT and at least 2 years' experience in IT support (level 1,2,3 optional).
  • Proven experience in managing complex IT environments, with a focus on vmWare, Windows Servers, and Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Routers, Switches, and Firewalls.Familiarity with a variety of Wi-Fi systems from different brands.
  • Strong grasp of NAS and SAN systems for efficient data management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Relevant certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, and vmWare certifications are a plus.
  • You naturally have the mindset to come up with innovative solutions that provide solutions for all users, rather than trying to solve just one problem.
  • You are naturally results-oriented and have a propensity for automation.
  • Your fluency in both Dutch and French enables you to establish good relations both internally and externally.
  • You are used to working with a ticket management tool. In particular, you will be able to allocate services transparently to each subsidiary on the basis of the tickets actually received.
